One of the pool jets on the far end was broken and was blowing out a massive amount of water. It provided resistance on the way down, and assistance on the way back. I swam the fast 50's Fly, Back, Free, Back, and they were fast -- sub :35, faster than I'd swum 50's at Scott Carpenter to date. I felt good, and I'm sure that I could have swum them faster than I had all summer. I also think that the jet had something to do with the speed :).
