Today was a stroke fixin' day.
Fly:
I found out that I'm letting my arms go toward each other, almost crossing, after they enter in the fly. I changed my fly so that I'm pressing out right away instead of letting my hands drift inward toward my center line. When I do the press out right away and do it correctly, I can feel a scull at the top of my stroke. It makes my stroke more fluid when I get the scull out right away.
Back:
Whooo boy. It's still a challenge to keep my head from waggling. I have to keep on that. One huge error I'm making is that I'm sweeping out really far on my finish. I changed my back so that I was finishing in much closer to my body, forcing my thumb to hit my thigh every time. When I was doing this correctly, it felt like I was doing some kind of frankenstein dance (because my elbows were in much tighter and I was throwing the water toward my feet more -- makes me feel like my shoulders are wider).
Breast:
I still get off on the timing sometimes and wait a split second too long to kick. Also, my kick can be a bit wider on the finish.
Free:
I angle my hand (especially right hand) and lose the "forearm paddle" as I'm sweeping in toward my body. I have to remember to keep water pressure on my forearm, not just my palm. When I do it right, my arm feels more like an oar. Also, I keep my fingers together very tightly. I need to spread them more.
